Consuegra has a lot to offer you, and much to experience during your visit. To suddenly find Don Quixote challenging the mills, to see children and adults transform into medieval knights throwing screams of conquest or to admire the beauty and nobility of eagles and owls.
This cultural association carries out dramatized visits to the castle of Consuegra. Through its characters we enter the lives of history books. The visitors are taken by a group of peasants who faced with the danger of an attack by the Almoravids, seek refuge in the castle. A joyful juggler offers to guide them through the fortress and on their way, they will learn to handle the sword. Soon, they will discover the secret of the encrypted numbers in the stones and the way to capture and conserve the water, which was vital for the subsistence in case of siege.
At the highest part of the castle, reserved for the nobles, they will be present in the conspiracy that García Ordóñez and Miss Urraca, behind the back of Alfonso VI, plot against Diego Rodríguez, Son of the Cid Campeador, and they will be witnesses in the solemn act where Alfonso VIII donates the fortress and its alfoz to the sovereign Order of Saint Johan of Jerusalem.
A journey through history and through a medieval castle, that comes to life through more than twelve characters, which make the spectators live some of the epic moments through carefree laughter and others of tension and uncertainty.
Every weekend and public holiday at 13.00h, from 6 February to 3 July and from 3 September to 11 December.
